I used to live in Mormon country...and they have been trying to ruin what makes my town bad*ss for years now...So i wouldnt' be surprised if Ole J.S. had some vision about how Earth came to be.

Why DON"T YOU GROW UP,or do some real research?.
You shouldn't spread rumors, when you have no Idea what your talking about.Your not asking a question, but spreading lies and untruths.
I'm a Mormon and have yet to take a ride on the starship enterprize. If you have the time to play here, why not visit a Momon church, meet some really nice people.
most Mormons are republicans,so they can't do other than believe in creation,it doesn't do much for a womens right to choose either.
If you would like a TRUE story about Mormons, look up The BLOOD ATONEMENT,onehundred men, women and children killed on their way to Utah, and of course MORMONS were blamed, you might not like the ending though,it took 11 years to get to it,but at least it's true.
The universe is spreading apart,so the galaxies are not jammed tightly together actually they are moving away from one another, but the earth every so often is right in the path of some pretty big objects out there, thats why astrology buffs have telescopes, maybe you should invest in one,it's not a bad career.

Well it better then "God making us out of nothing" junk that creationism insists on making everyone believe, and also it doesn't matter that the stars are close together in the center of the galaxy because they are still tens or hundreds of light years apart, far enough to not cause any affect on the planets that could prevent the occurrence of life.Atheist

I think you're confusing Scientologists with Mormons. Mormons believe in the authenticity of the Bible. Thus God created the earth. Scientologists believe Man came to earth from a distant planet.

I live in mormon country, and they don't try to destroy my version of how the universe is.
Maybe you shouldn't be so worked up over it. Believe what you will.
I've heard that when they reach sainhood then they become God's of their own planets somewhere in the galaxy...I find that pretty far fetched.

Well, we don't know how God created the planets. We know that he did it from pre-existing matter, and he assembled it. I suppose it is possible that he used the big bang method to create the galaxy, or the master planet theory. It doesn't necessarily discount creationist theory.

If they're astonomers then they're scientists, and if they're scientists they're basing their statements on observations. To my knowledge there are NO observations that would support such a thing. None.
Are you sure they're not Mormon astrologers?!
