The entire Liberal political platform is "Bush Sucks" so when he leaves office will they have to think for them selves?

Dr. Feel Good,

You have answered several of my questions and so far you have been unable to do so with out the use of the word NeoCon. I would like to clear this matter up. I am not truely a NeoCon because that would suggest that my ideas are somehow new. Actually they school of thought that I subscribe to is very old 230 years to be exact. I am what is called a Constitutional Conservative that means that the Constitution is the end-all when writing laws which is why I don't support such things as an admendment to out law gay marriage or burning the flag. I just wanted you to have some facts before you continue calling me names especially names that do not fit. Why don't we have a point / counterpoint discussion. I promise to show respect for your ideas even if I don't agree.

Just like if it was a liberal in office, the republicans would complain about whoever the president was..

the only thing that drives a political person is complaining about the 'other side'

Well I hope they can manage to take at least one house of congress. They have put so much faith on the platform 'Vote for me. I'm not a Republican' and 'Vote for me I hate Bush' they have forsaken the thought of everything else.

IF they don't take at least one house in 2006 they will have squandered half their platform and to use it again would be borderline criminal. And the other half will be gone automatically. They won't have a platform to stand on.

Actually I'd like to see Conservative Democrats take back THEIR party. There are still a ton of people out there who call themselves Democrats who can't stand to vote for the candidates the Liberal Democrats keep forcing down their throats.

If you study the past you will see that when the Democrats were the strongest was when they didn't focus on those 'special' interests. The focused on the every day common person.

Hahahaha.....all they will have left is memories of the good old days when they had some slight political power and a sympathetic liberal republican in office.

All that is about to change. In November, you'll see many republicans replacing democrats in office. And in '08, look for a staunch conservative to replace Bush. Immigration reform will be the main political issue. I'm thinking Tom Tancredo will be our next president. The liberals had problems with Bush, who was relatively sympathetic to them. How are they going to deal with an administration that is aggressively hostile to them.

Good times ahead.

Bush supporters are the ones who don't know how to think for themselves!! They're the most close-minded, bigoted peolpe you can find! I think the world will be better off without Bush, and hopefully there will be a good democrat in office. The liberals will most likely be talking about how much WORK needs to be done to CLEAN UP THE MESS Bush has made of our country by playing god, playing war, screwing up human rights and making the poor even POORER, screwing up employment opportunities and healthcare and destroying middle class! Bush made a bigger MESS than hurricane Katrina!! ...And by the way, the Bush slogan is "Buck Fush."

First of all, the liberal platform is hardly as simple as "Bush Sucks", the same way the conservative platform is not as simple as "Kill The Poor" or "Abolish Science" or whatever Rush Limbaugh claims it is. Anyone who needs their political discourse boiled down into Punch and Judy histrionics is helping neither side.

My guess is that liberals will be talking about the same things they were talking about after the first Bush left office, namely how in the hell we go about cleaning up the mess left behind. Hopefully, the results will be as encouraging as they were the last time it happened.

They'll have their hands full repairing ties with allied nations, pulling the economy back out of a slump, bringing the troops safely home from a tactically stupid situation, repairing federal relations with the trade unions, rebuilding New Orleans, getting the housing market back under control, lowering the defecit, and giving Americans a reason to be proud again. That should take the next few decades. What will you do?

Whoever wins in 2008 has to be better than GWB. Be it Dem or Rep. as long as it's a moderate who will bring the dissension in the country to an end. It not so much that I as a Liberal hate Bush. I just dislike intensely the fighting between Americans that he has caused. Hopefully a new President will bring us together.

Agree. I want to see PLANS from the democrats and all
we get is bashing bashing bashing Bush? Look at some of
the answers you have so far. All bash and no plan dummies
All right liberals, we have guys flying airplanes into buildings,
what would you do? Negotiate with terrorists ?
HA. Reference: Jimmy Carter and Iran hostages.
My guess is IF they get into the white house, they will spend
their time blaming the Republicans for everything and pushing
national healthcare. Oh, and raise our taxes.

If Iran stops pursuing their Nuclear hobbies and prevents threatening the international, convinced. It has no longer something to do with the 2008 elections. it really is all about warding off a nuclear attack from Iran or the textile moving into the incorrect fingers.
