what I want to know is why the schoolmates are stupid enough to call anybody with glasses a nerd?

Not at all, I have to wear glasses 24/7..well at least when I'm awake. I've been called a nerd, but I know that nerds wear suspenders and have pocket protectors and use hair gel to make their hair plastered to their heads. They wear plaid pants down to their knees and they really DO look like dorks. Glasses, in my opinion, are just another part of your personality...kind of. I love my glasses.

No.. because it's never happened. If they gotta problem with you, tell them to meet you in a dark alley after class is over. LOL!
