for immediate relief, close your eyes and think of something happy in your life - family, pets, friends, vacations.
Staying fit helps - yoga/stretching is a great stress relief.
Stay organized and focused in your work. Delegate tasks that you don't want to do and you can delegate. Dump things that you don't need to do. Keep your desk clear of everything except what you work on at the moment. Check your voice mail/email only 2-3 times per day and at set times (1st thing in the AM, right after lunch and late in the afternoon).
Focus some more.
Clean out your workspace of anything unnecessary to your assigned tasks.

The best advice I can give you since I do have a very stressful job myself. First you need to learn not to let it eat you up. Take things lightly not so serious. I know that being in a high stress job takes it's toll. So enjoy your life to the fullest. Do not let your job control your life. If you do you will not last very long. If your supervisor or boss push you to much take a time out attitude. Take a break or get some air, take a walk give your self time to regain your composure. Hang in there you will survive.

Sit up straight, close your eyes. Clear your mind. Breathe deeply through your nose, hold for 5 seconds, and breathe out slowly through your mouth. Repeat 3-4 times.

Choose your attitude. Tell yourself 10 positive things about yourself before you go to work and throughout the day, no matter how demanding your day gets. Find something that makes you smile (for me its butterflies) and decorate your work area with that object.

I have a picture of a place that I would like to visit someday right in front of me, when things get tough I look at the picture to remind me why I do what I do.

Perhaps you should concentrate on your job. If you paid more attention, and had a better grasp, it would probably be less stressful. Stop screwing around ... get back to work.
