I have a nVidia GeForce 6600 256MB PCI Express 8x, and in all my games two parralell white lines appear on the left side of the screen. In between the lines there is a green column that grows and shrinks vertically with the amount of work that the video card performs. Help?

If you are running a SLI config then each card is running at 8x. If you are running a SLI config do the following.
goto CONTROL PANEL and then open DISPLAY SETTINGS click on SETTINGS > ADVANCED then the GEForce 6600 Clicked ENABLE SLI MULTI-GPU and deselected SHOW GPU LOAD BALANCING and apply the changes.

PCI Expresss is 16x
uncheck the show perfomance stats under properties
also
make sure you have the latest drivers and directX vesion
