I work for a company that is let's say a good ole boy company.

I have a great position. I am in at 6 am out by 3 pm I work maybe 15 minutes out of the 9 hour day 1 hour lunch, eat free, great insurance, paid holidays, no weekends unless on call and I still do not have to go in and get paid double time min of 6 hours plus with out the OT I make over $50,000 a year.

But I am the only woman, ethnic person, and like I said it is a good ole boy place. They pretty much leave me alone and don't say anything to me all day long every day.

I am bored out of my mind and know that I am the token here. I am giving them my 2 weeks notice so I can persue a carrer where I can express myself and be of benefit to the comapany. With all the perks if you were me whould you stay or would you go?

There is a difference between being paid well/benefitting from and job and being happy and fulfilled. The question isn't what would I do, the question is whether or not you are willing to possibly sacrifice the good parts of the job you have for something that gives you the chance to do something you feel is more worthwhile.

First off I would hope that you have your "career" already picked out and a job lined up before quitting just because your their "token" employee. If them being good ole boys bothers you that much then you should quit. I would stay, sounds like its an easy ride.
On the flip side, I'm sure you have more to offer then just wasting your talents sitting around being bored all day.
I know the feeling, I am in a similar situation.
Make a difference in the world and do something that you'll be proud of doing.

For a small contribution, those high quality VFW volunteers stationed in front of supermarkets for the time of u.s. each Memorial Day will thank you with an iconic Poppy flower. The Poppy may be an exceedingly setting up token. to boot, a donation to a protection tension charity which incorporate Wounded Warriors, Paralized Veterans, etc. in honor of the WW I soldier to assist in the present day's courageous Vets may be a great tribute. God Bless our Troops!

Do what you need to do. Yes, you have a great place there in which that you need to do nothing. Money, however, is not everything. If you're not happy, then leave. You are the only one you need to answer to. Good luck.

I would leave too, but that's just because I think a person should be doing more than just making a few bucks at their job.

Have you tried calling them on it? i might do that before I go, and then if they go all defensive or whatever (or pretty much say anything other than "wow, I'm sorry, I didn't really notice") then give an immediate two weeks.
