Hamas is a terrorist group / freedom fighters depending on how you look at it.

To govern, they must become a government. The IRA learned to put the weapons down, Hamas must do the same. If they continue their ways, they only harm their own people. They were voted in because of what they did for the people where Arafat's gov't was corrupt and inefficient. They were not voted in for their violence (albeit, Palestinians liked their defiance). If Hamas wants to become a government, diplomacy is part of the game.

Play it or perish. I have no sympathies for them if they don't change their ways. The best way for them to fight occupation is to lay down their arms and seek the aid of the world. They will get much more help if they would.

The difference in the United States and Nazi Germany is we don't put people in gas chambers. The difference in us and the terrorists is we don't cut peoples heads off. We give aid to the whole world, food, medical aid, economic aid, at the expense of our citizens. We have so much freedom here we even let muslims walk around our streets wearing burkas. We are at war with islamo-fascists, and so is Israel. If your alla is so great why doesn't he stop us? Because he can't, that's why.

Because Hamas will be unrecognizable to Israel before long if they don't. Israel is amassing an army right now and is ready to kick some Hamass. And personally, I'll be rooting for the Israelis, though I do think that they are a bit over-aggressive sometimes.

For their own good. If the Palestinians made peace with Isreal, there would probably be trade and employment opportunity in the region. Isreal is a modern nation with a healthy ecomomy, this comes from hard work and education. I think that most Isrealis would rather share the wealth than be under constant threat of attack. I used to be rather indiffered obout the plight of Isreal, but the more that I see a rise of Islamic hatered in the world, and Muslims unwillingness to live with one another(Shia vs. Sunni) as well as Muslim hatred of all Non-Muslims, the more that I simpathize with Isreal.

I used to live in the Middle East many years ago, and I had many Muslim friends. I wonder if in light of the new situation in the world if my former friends now consider me an enemy, if only because I am from the US? It would be sad to think so, as I am no different now than when we were friends. Do they now see me as an American first, not as the human being that they befriended?

Until Hamas recognizes Isreals right to exist there can be no peace. The senseless death and hardships for all will go on and on. You can be nearly certain that the Isrealies are not going to leave any time soon so what are the alternatives.

Because then they can start taking care of their own.

Such as:

Inquire about the Billions that were given to the Palestinians authorities to help them alleviate their own situation...

And inquire about the situation of the Palestinian Christians, especially after the Hamas was brought to Power.

Make pressure on the Arabs Countries to help and do their part other than complain.

These same countries that asked the Arab palestinians to leave before the war with Israel on the promise they would return after Isreal was conquered yet never did anything after the war (provoked by the Arabs) to help alleviate the refugee issues... Only create more hatred and terrorist and a culture of victims.

I used to be sensitive to the Palestinian cause. Now I find there is more propaganda that twist the reality and deforms the truth. When the Hamas will stop being an agent of Denial, maybe one day there could be progress.
