I was looking back at some photos from the 70's....?

Why did we dress like that and have those outrageous hairdo's?

I don't think it was just the 70s - I found pictures of me in the 80s and there I was, with my zebra printed sleeveless shirt, my two toned acid washed Guess jeans with my checkered Vans (which are on a comeback as I understand), and my baseball cap with "The Police" written in flourescent blue on a white background,,,,and I am straight!

My hair was feathered on the sides, shaved in the back, and spiked on the top. It looked like a new wave mullet, just not as cool.

I think each decade goes through its styles, and each time we look back, we don't know whether to cry, or to wonder how we ever got laid with these looks.

My kids still look at some of my pics and are impressed with the clothes, hair, music, etc. It was a great time to be young. I'm talking about the late 60's and early 70's. I loved it!

I was in grade school. My mom dressed me like a little clown. And my hair was all poofed out. My parents looked just as dumb mixing polka dots with plaid.
