I think they shoul be given to firends who knew you, kind of as a curtsey to the happy ending.

That idea could become a trend, no kidding... except for wearing black, because it's supposed to be a happy occasion, celebrating liberation. Instead, wear a festive color, hold a big sign & smile from ear-to-ear. And, if the idea became part of the divorce proceedings tradition... be sure to have double-prints made so the ex can have one, because they need to see the good difference that being free from them has made in your life.

Okay...while I'm not "celebrating" divorce, it does help to do something to make light of such a difficult time. When i divorced and got my own place, I had a dinner party with my girlfriends......which turned into a night of husband bashing. (light-hearted of course). I've also heard of something kind of amusing: a wedding cake, cut in half vertically, down the center, turn the halves around opposite each other...like round side to round side... with the bride and groom back to back.....this is called a "divorce cake". LOL

No sugar! Because when I divorced I wish I had a picture in a red halter dress while jumping up in the air, clicking my heels with the biggest smile on my face with my divorce decree in hand. Divorce is not always a bad thing. For many its the biggest reason to celebrate....Who hoooo!!!!

I think that brilliant! I send my ex a dozen dead roses on our divorce anniversary, we get along ok as friends though. I probably wouldn't suggest that everyone. I think if you and your ex still share a friendship, then that would actually be a good idea as long as it's kept lighthearted and fun. It wold also let your friends know that you don't hate each other and they CAN invite both of you to a function without worrying about a possible flare up.

Hey whatever makes you feel better. Nothing lasts 4 ever or just move on. Why waste time with the past when you have a chance to make a bright future. Good Luck out there.

No, because some divorces are happy occasions! Like getting rid of an abuser, a liar, or a cheat. One would want to celebrate!

I am sorry but I think you got to much time on your hands. Go out and kick up your heels and forget about the divorce it will make you feel better at least for a little while.

Kind of weird..and vain. What makes you think your friends would want a "divorce" picture of you? Did you give your wedding photos to all your friends?

Oh hell yes! I would get married just for the very reason of getting a divorce picture. Sounds very goth.
