because they know that they are liable to get beat down if they try to bring all that bull crap back to the light......blacks are not going back to slavery nor are we afraid of whites anymore..we will fight to the death rather than go back to that kind of life.....and the kkk knows that there will be other opposition to their doctrines so they just sit back and dwell in their hate......and it might be more than u think but they will never show their faces....oh yea they never have!...cowards.....

It used to be that the KKK was the only group of its' kind in the US. Now their are many of them, the Aryan Nation, neo-Nazi skinheads, white separatists, etc. So they aren't the only dog in the show, so to speak, now days. It is also a common factor that in times of prosperity their numbers shrink. But when times get tough, economically, their numbers rise again. That trend has always been there.

There is also better ways of handling them now. Instead of lowering themselves to their level and duking it out with them they now take them to court and sue them. This works well. People have come up with ingenious ways of handling them. One town in TN that the Klan uses every year for one of their meetings shuts the doors to every business in town while they are there. They can't go to the bathroom, buy something to drink, gas, etc. Gets the point across in a good way that they aren't welcome. The Southern Poverty Law Center and their KlanWatch program is effective as well, they do great work.

No, the Klan isn't gone nor is their back 'broken', they will always be there sadly. But they no longer have the power they once did. Thankfully.

Oh God no! There are A LOT of them. See the original Klan was suppressed in the 1800 but in 1915 there was a "second coming" if you will. In the 1920's there were about 4,000,000 of them... now there are about 5,000 but that has been on a steady rise since the 1970's where they were at their low. Now there are other names as in Neo-Nazi's that are the same as the KKK but just a different name

It depends on each persons definition of a "few" of them. I live in Ohio and every year they have a march in Toledo. KKK is also a mentality because you don't need white sheets to hate people different then yourself. There are many millions with the mentality and that's way too many for me.

In hiding where they need to be. Have you ever noticed, nobody can do any harm to a lot of people when there is only one? And besides, these white trashed people haters, need to sit down, shut their mouths and let people do what they have been doing for years, PROSICUTE the klan members when doing bodily harm to a person. We're all human, no matter what color your skin is. We all bleed the same color of blood.

They are now afraid of black people well it's about time black people beat down racists for the final time. Most of them are dead and not in Heaven so I can't complain but they still ride horses and that stuff but now they are with the nazis. Now again they are the biggest peices of white trash that ever walked God's Green Earth.

To be quit honest, does it really matter? I am sure they are still around, but they are just out of the public eye. Things they have done are not accepted by the majority anymore. I am not saying what was done was right, but times have changed. Just my opinion. Blesssings.

alot of them moved on with their lives and the hardcore ones stayed that truly believe in what they stand for. and my guess is alot of them are dead also....the founding members so the KKK groups that were once there aren't there anymore.

They are mostly hiding, I guess because they don't want to admit to people how stupid they are. Their heart and souls are very dark and ugly. They are very ignorant and uneducated. They also know that times have change and most people are not going to put up with it.
