This is actually not a joke. Everything that has happend in the world - all history, people always make jokes about it! have you notice that? My sisters' b/day is also on the 9/11 and it is a tragedy. people lost their lives etc and they connect your birthday to this date. all i can say is - please do feel good about it, because your birthday is a memorable 1!!! Happy birthday for 9/11

I don't know why people make fun of it, but those who do must be ignorant, insensitive morons. My friend whose birthday is on 9/11 hasn't been teased about it but does get really sick of people asking "oh does it suck to have your bday on 9/11" Her response to anyone who asks about it is "No, it's still my birthday, it is the day I was born, and that came first!" She still says she has no problem celebrating her birthday because it has nothing to do with the tragedy.
I think you should say the same to anyone who makes fun of it...not to mention tell them how insensitive they are being about a tragedy!

Just tell them...
and on that same day you started to shave your butt and learned about similarities.
;-)
We can easily find out the most negative and positive events that have happened on someone's birthday and make the same connection.
Americans are the only one's to sound like a chimp when you say "September 11th". Everyone else in this world couldn't care less about a date. It's just like any other day that has passed.
Heck, two of my friends were born on that same day you were. They are both living in two seperate countries, but have never had the over-expressive reactions when they say their b-day.
One of them does a lot of travelling, and it's only the U.S. that he gets "clown-faces", as what he calls it.
Any case, either don't say your b-day. Or just give the year.
They will eventually get bored with that "particular date", or forget about it all together.
Simple.

cause your birth date was made famous by a tragedy. I would never make fun of a date like that.
