To be fair to our continent ~ justice have to be done. Before any African team can win the WC, it must first reach the semi-finals. No African team has never reached the semi-final stage of this tournament.
So, NO African team will win the WC in 2010 ~ not even the host nation!! They can break a record, by reaching the semis!!

Let me go ahead and be honest with you from the start! NO WAY IN HELL! The African teams are talented and athletic enough, but many times do not have the brains or the patience that the great teams have, to wait out their opponents and then strike at the precise moment when the opponent is most weak! African sides produce great attacking soccer, but they lack the discipline of the Brazilians and the Argentinians to actually go back and defend! Not to mention that none of the countries (save perhaps Nigeria) has a strong enough infrastructure to provide the team with the necessities they need to actually win a tournament. In addition, the horrible political situations in these countries just does not allow for a great national spirit to get behind the team... I would love to see them win one, and eventually they will, but it is not going to happen at this next one.

Not as long as Brasil has the likes of Ronaldhino, Robinho, and up and coming Luciaho and a few others...

But, who know what will things be like in 4 years time.
Anything can happen. Nigeria and Ivory Coast have the best shot.
