What kind of retarded question is this. If you were blessed from Lord above then you would've been blessed with a brain.
I'm blond and blue eyed and I get burned by the sun all the time while wearing tons of sunblock. It sure is not fun to have an increased risk for melanoma. You don't sound racist. You just sound insane.

Being proud to be white is not racist. A little pride in oneself is a good thing and can encourage you to excel in your life. You can love yourself and your race without hating others. If you love your family more then someone elses family, does that make you a family supremacist or a bad person? Ok then, if your proud of being white, show it, and be proud that we are all differant and can love ourselves for being different. WPWP!

I guess you should be thanking God you got a free ticket not to focus on your race and focus on what really matters to you. But obviously praising yourself and your stupidity, only shows your ignorance. I think the real question you should be asking is why you got so lucky and why so many others don't have the same privileges you have just because you skin is lighter than mine. Be proud, but be conscious and fair. If you are capable of that.
I know not all whites aren't racists, there are differences between rednecks, elitests, KKK members, and regular folk. So don't worry be proud of who you are! I'm a Proud Spick, see there partner!

I am more proud of being human, thank you. The amount of melanin in my skin doesn't make me superior to anyone else. Believing that it does is the very definition of racism. Believing you are "pretty" because you are white would be the only non-racist explanation I can think of, and if that's all you can think of to be proud of, you're an awfully shallow person.

This is so because of the implyed connection to white power groups who ar definitly racist. Say Celtic pride and you have a whole different picture. If you have self pride that is wonderful just don't degrade the race of others.

I'm white, I don't make a big deal of it. I had no particular say in the matter. Pride? I heard it's a sin that'll kill ya. Once skin goes political, it's like a loud instance of flatulence in high society. Skin games. What a joke. just a different type of scam and everybody's doing it.

A color of skin is no reason for pride. Your family, your beliefs,& your knowledge you can take pride in, but it is as vain to like the color of your skin as it is for a 25 or below year old to have pride in your looks. Both you were born with & neither can can take credit for. If it quacks like a duck, it is usually a duck - racism.

that's tough. i don't know if it is wrong to tell you that you should not be worried about your color, and just be proud of the person you are. if you are lacking in pride of character you might fall back on just being proud to part of a group. i don't think its wrong to say that. if you are going to argue that others focus on race pride, does that justify your doing it? if you are so proud, do you really want to be the same as others?

If you're proud of your skin that is awesome, but what would make you racist is if you make snide comments about other races, or feel that you are in any way superior just because you are white. You're also racist if you pass judgement on someone based on race... there are other things, what I listed are just a few.

I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree with your use of the verb "mistaken". Even if I'm one of only a minscule number of people who have both the astuteness to realize it and the guts to say it, I consider it racist for an African-American to be proud of being black, no matter what extraordinarily & excruciatingly wonderful things black people have done and no matter what horrific prejudice & discrimination black people have faced. Being proud of one's skin color, no matter what it happens to be, is being proud to have a skin color that is different from all the OTHER skin colors (whatever THEY happen to be) and is therefore in every case racist. It is no more acceptable, excusable, justifiable, tolerable or forgiveable for one to be proud of having a particular skin color than it is to be proud of having green eyes and red hair. People should never judge themselves or anybody else to any extent or determine how much they like or dislike themselves or anyone else, even in part, by the color of one's skin. Skin color should not affect one's job or educational opportunities and it should not affect whom it is legally and socially acceptable for one to associate with, date, marry and procreate with. One shouldn't even be prevented from adopting a child because of having a different skin color than that of the child herself or himself. The world is not going to move beyond is current sad state of affairs until and unless people start disregarding the color of a person's skin.
