If you're asking me to put together a list of the 11 I would put on the field to make the best team ever it would go something like this, at least concerning people who played in world cups.... (in a 4-4-2)
GK-Gordon Banks (best save in W.C. history)
DF- Bobby Moore, Paolo Maldini, Cafu, Beckenbauer
MF- Diego Armando Maradona, Michael Platini, Zico, Johan Cryuff
FW- Pele, Ronaldo
Debate any of these with me, I promise you they would be the choice of most people who know football (I know it's annoying that I have 2 Brazilians playing up front, but really, can anyone debate that with me? Pele was a more inventine and creative player than Gerd Muller and Ronaldo might be the best W.C. tournament player ever, or at least he is right up there with Maradona!

Interesting question 'heyesy 1990'.
Judging by quality, performance, persistance, results and the the number fo times the team has won the world cup ~ Brazil have no competitor.
So, BRAZIL are the best WC team ever!!! And they seem to keep it that way.
