I have a few that I think are the best for different reasons.
1. Sounds of Music- it is a classic and had stood the test of time.
2. It's A Wonderful Life- it has Jimmy Stewart in it and who does not love him. Also another oldie but real good goodie.
3. Braveheart- it was the first epic that moved me.
4. LOTR (Lord of the Rings)- What great movies all of them were...had you wanting more.

Kudos to the first answerer for going with a Mel Brooks movie, but I'm going to make one small change: "History of the World: Part One." Awesome movie.
