You can also say why do we pick models who are extremely thin when the average population is not that thin. You can also say why do we put beautiful / gorgeous women on the advertisements when most of the people are not.
It's the society and finally you get more attention when you have beautiful women / men selling stuff. Imagine if they showed fat beer bellied guys selling beer on ads...no men would be buying those beers.

The answer is, we dont only look for 6 foot models. Generalization, im 5 foot 7 and I wouldnt like a 6 foot model, id rather have one with shorter legs

Have you ever seen a manieqiun?ever notice how tall they always seem to be .Well thats what a model is a walking, living maniequin.The only reason people even look at them is because they are not, like everyone else.They are normally qiute tall and very slender.How many women do you know who are 6ft tall off hand .Not many I would guess.They stand out like a pink elephant.You can't help but notice they are there.

coz a model has to have some qualities right? if every body would have been 7' so they would have gone for 5'..its more like we say y a face model must be pretty? coz they can not get a very ugly person who is still ugly with a tones of make up

I am 6 feet tall and believe me its not fun. Be happy that you actually have men taller then you. For me here in Atlanta. Thats a rare thing. I am nowhere near being a model.
I even have guys tell me that they are intimidated by my height.

Models are often modeling one of a kind clothes. and since the designer has no Idea who will be wearing their design they make them one size and find someone to fit the clothes.

because when you want to model clothing, those are the gals that look best in them.......everyday life, men do not prefer those models? At least my husband doesnt....

here is the exact reason for that: Most woman over 6 feet are abnormally small around the waist and are really skinny.
