The discovery of the universe expansion(doppler red shifted spectrum lines) was the source of the Big Bang theory (i think)

BTW: this is a SCIENCE thread, all you Jesus Freak back off!
the theory of the Big Bang is compatible with the concept of a god.
what was there before the big bang ..let there be light....BANG.

Think about it this way. I've been pondering this for a while and i cant figure it out. I will put this in example form. Lets improvise the beginning of the universe for something extremely simple like the creation of an invention like the pen. Now say, one day some cataclysmic event happened on earth and a Man was ripped through the so called "space time continuum". Lets just say he's in the past now. Say this man was curious to find out who invented the pen and how. So he goes wandering around to look. but he cant find it. eventually a guy takes notice and asks him what hes doing. The man explains hes looking for the person who created the pen. the guy asks what a pen is. the man shows him and tells him how it works. Now this is where my head starts to ache. after being shown this "pen" from this man, the guy goes off to his home and invents the pen.
Now my question is, "Where did the idea and construction of the pen originate." i know this seems a little off the topic, but say something happens when the universe ends, say this event causes the space time continuum to change back to right at the very beginning of its creation, the "big bang". Then where did the universe start. I believe the answer in that situation would be that it had no beginning but if this event does not happen, it will have an end.

Complicated, yet simple. right?

The universe is everything. If there wasnt anything before it's beginning, there never would have been a universe to start with. The universe always was and always will be since it is everything. The fact that it is expand just means there is more of existance itself.

Most scientists believe it all started with the so-called "Big Bang" where a singularity supposedly exploded VERY violently. So much so that within a second much of the universe would've been created already.

Not much is known about what was the state of things at or before the explosion. According to Stephen Hawkins it doesn't matter what happened before the Big Bang since whatever happened before has no consequence with what happened after; this is one of those moments where the known laws of science (one of which being the law of causality) breaks down.

The cited sources below contains more detailed information about the topic.

There was a beginning called the big bang.

People with lower intelligence rely on GOD for creating everything since they are unable to understand science.

Of course there was a "Beginning"!! First God made the Heavens and the earth, the animals, then Adam, then took Adam's rib, and created Eve, then, on the 7th day!! He rested!! And wants us all to rest on Sundays, too!! After reading the word of course, or prayer, or church!! I personally believe church is within us, and I tend as I feel up to it, but I know I wont go to Hell for not tending church, every consecutive Sunday!! Because, I wont let the sun go down without asking for forgiveness, of my sins for the day. And Jesus is our sin sacrifice! So, we just start our prayers with: Our Heavenly Father, speak to HIM, just like you would your own earthly father or Mentor, or someone you look up too, talk to HIm, walk with Him, and allow Him into your heart, you wont regret it!! Then, end your prayers, "In Jesus Name,Amen"... To better understand the bible ask God to fill you with His holy spirit, so you can better understand His word, and the word of God is merely a "God-written, History, teaching, book" about how we're suppose to live our lives to the "FULLEST!!" And watch, and see that God of our just POOOUUURRR---OOUUUTTT, blesssings, upon blessing to you and yours!!! Abundantly the bible says,Too!!! For those who have the faith of a mere "Mustard Seed".. God Speed, to you, Brother!!!
