I'm generally very shy until I really get to know someone, and I just moved into town and I don't know many people. I'm getting pretty lonely. I don't like bars, clubs, pool halls or bowling alleys. Where else can I make friends?

Hi. I'm like u. Just thought u'd like to know. Um...do u go to school(college)? U could join some clubs and meet people there. Maybe u can meet someone on this site who lives in ur town and u can meet. How about bookstores? I hear coffeeshops are a good place to meet people too.

Try a church group or local community club. When I went to a new town, I joined the Chamber of Commerce and I got more hoo-hoos than I could handle.
