i have been playing for almost 20 years. i think there is something very profound about playing an instrument, especially the piano. i think classical is very underrated (something that should be observed live). there is a passion that comes with the piano and playing several notes as once.

i think it also brings your experience as a person. shows yourself how to have control and discipline and that hard work actually works. the result is amazing knowing that you work on this piece and you made that sound come from your finger tips. each note perfects by the way you touch, and how loud or soft it resonates from the piano itself... helps everywhere (even the bedroom) to have such an art! did i get a little carried away there?

That's so cool! Thought i never played the piano, I used to be in my high school band and play the xylophone, you my consider branching off from the piano and trying something different. You would have a great head start on mosst people, and because you know the basics, you could become very succeful on several different instruments.

Good luck with whatever you decide to to and give it everything you've got!

I love the piano! Took lessons for about 4 years (up until 8th grade) before I quit. That is one of my life's biggest regrets. I am now 30 would like to be able to play again, I just don't have time for lessons with a husband and 2 kids. Keep it up! You won't regret it! Congratulations on your tour & best of luck!

I'm in a rock band and play piano, and it is a beautiful instrument. It has even been a great help on my abilities as a bass player as well, so keep at it. Play everything you possibly can, and as you know that it is always great to learn jazz. If you can play Jazz and Classical then you can play anything. Check out bruce hornsby if you can he's good, and also Kenny Kirkland.

I think it is amazing that that you have had piano lessons for eight years and must have talent also or else you wouldn't be touring in Southern California this summer. Awesome.

i have never had the chance to learn how to play but my daughter who is 6 years old is getting lessons from her dad who has been playing since he was 9 years old I think the piano is beutiful and people who play should keep playing so we don't lose such a beautiful art form. keep it up for your own personal enrichment.
