i don't see how this is a perverted question. Anybody looking at a name like that should be suspicious. They had to at least know that the name would have this connotation.

Yes! It is. lol

The band came up with their peculiar name while congregated at B&O Espresso, a Seattle coffeehouse. Eddie Vedder has claimed that the name Pearl Jam is an inside joke having to do with a hallucinogenic, peyote-laced jam that Eddie's grandmother Pearl was famous for. Many people, however, consider that story to be nothing more than a joke. These people point out that it is probably not a coincidence that the phrase "pearl jam" had been in usage for some time as a euphemism for semen.

Eddie Vedder claimed that the name "Pearl Jam" was a reference to his great-grandmother, Pearl, who was married to a Native American man and had a special recipe for peyote-laced jam. However, this story seems to have been invented by Vedder as a joke. Another theory put forward in the book Five Against One holds that one of the band members really wanted "pearl" in the new name, and jamming is a common activity done by musicians. The generally-accepted explanation is that it was a phrase the band thought would sound good, so they stuck to it. In a recent cover story by Rolling Stone, Ament and McCready admitted that Ament came up with "Pearl", and "Jam" was added after the band members saw Neil Young live.

No, Pearl Jam got the name from an Aunt or Grandma ( I can't remember which one....but a family member) named Pearl, according to them she made the best Jam. So he named the band " Pearl Jam".

No. But a "pearl necklace" is a term in the porn industry when a person ejaculates on someone elses neck. Sorry for the graphic answer, but you asked.
