Seriously, are there actual political QUESTIONS being asked in here or just blanket statements with extremist slants that they slap question marks on?

It makes them feel better when they give some sort of smart *** answer. They are obviously not politically minded, they probably don't watch the news with any sense of agenda. They watch it and take no time to understand what they are watching. They like to make quick judgements on what they thing other people should think and have no clue as how to debate or ponder these question further than their noses.
It is sad. I believe that if people actually researched what they read and not just believed everything that was said on TV or by their peers then this world would be a much better place.

Is anyone on here really hoping to accomplish much of anything? I think for the most part, it's just a site to explore if you're bored or want to vent. I'm going with "just blanket statements with extremist slants that they slap question marks on" - or alternatively, you could just call it stream of consciousness.

nice IM name - strategery. HA! I'm putting that one in my lockbox.

Yahoo! is just another soapbox upon which to stand...a place where one can make "blanket statements with extremist slants"...in all honesty I truly LOVE reading all the questions and replies because they are quite humorous. I truly laugh and giggle at all of the spinning, propaganda and ignorance that encompasses our globe. Great question!

There are a few people on here who actually ask good, intelligent questions because they want to learn something. They are in the minority, however. Most, it seems, come here to spew rhetoric and throw around insults under the cover of a screen name.

There are quite a few people here, like those who respond to every question about Bush with a "cut-and-paste" resume of his failures, or about 9/11 with that link to the "Loose Change" video, who spoil it for the rest of us.

It's usually fairly easy to separate those who use Y!A for the right reasons and those who use it as a forum to vent their frustrations. Just look at their Answers/Best Answers ratio. Mine speaks for itself...

They just want to cause controversy, insult people, and start arguments.

Most of their questions are already worded in their favor, they have already decided on the type of answer they are looking for, and they have no intention of considering the opinions of others.

I am not sure why anyone would try to change the world on Yahoo Answers.

I've been browsing this sight for about a month and I think I've seen one or two genuine political questions. I guess it's more fun to cause a stir than carry on an intellectual conversation.

I don't really have an answer or anything though-provoking or even interesting to add here. I really just wanted to point out to everyone that "jennifermbrabson" is hot.

Thank you.
