Plush beds, relaxing lounging areas with a romantic ambiance are a plus. Hotel Del, and the "W" in San Diego wasn't what I was looking for.
I don't mind paying if cost matches product and service.

I'm not too sure what you are looking for, but if you like being near the beach in nice weather, without the downtown scene, then I would definitely check out the hotels in Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Encinitas. These are three excellent cities where you can find lots of activities to do. It is also very quiet and you will enjoy your stay.

Try Dana Point, Carlsbad...or my personal fav, Huntington Beach...there are lots of different places to check out and I'm sure you can find soemthing within your price range! have fun!

try Carlsbad, tamarack specificly lots of condos to pick from with daily or weekly rates
