My view is that men of all cultures will make women out to be inferior so they can benefit from the power it gives them within that society. Men desire this power more in some cultures than in others.
If a person can be convinced they are inferior to you they will submit more easily to your will. Women are the weak gender ONLY if they are made to believe that they are.

(in the cavemen times people needed to be strong to survive)
cause women don't have the brute strenght/body men have...
from then on, the belief that women are inferior has kept on.

its sad but can you name a country where women dont have inferior status? another way to look at it is - what country isnt a patriarchy?

this is really sad but may be because this world is men dominating.
i am surprised even in USA there has been no women president so far.
