My Creative webcam software does not work, is there a free one that will replace it?

I have contacted Creative, including a tech support rep, downloaded new drivers, reinstalled - nothing. Their software, called Creative Webcam Center, boots up long enough to show me my face for about a second, and then gives me an error message that it has encountered a problem and it is closing. I know the camera works, becuz I use it with Yahoo IM all the time. I want to be able to use the camera to take stills of myself and my child, is there any cost free software that I can replace it with? Any further suggestions to fix the software I do have?

why dont you try removing it from your computer, then re-installing it? if that doesnt work, call the company they should send you another one!

Well Ill I can say is try to install it on another computer and see if it works there and if it does then it is the computer and not the software if that is so back up stuff then Reformat and Fresh install your OS. You could also make sure you have all of Microsoft Lovely updates for your computer. Good Luck

It's not a problem of your driver. It happened to me before and I resestar the setup perfectly.
