I borrow money exclusively from pessimists. I'm only helping to support their cynical views and therefore doing them a favour.

As a rhetorical answer, I would think that a pessimist that loans out money would have to be a masochist as well or that fool from the old saying about "A FOOL AND HIS MONEY..."

Yes. Everyone always expects their money back. And if you don't pay him back, you'll just make him more of a pessimist, not to mention possibly losing a friend.

LOL. I love this question...I think they do expect it back but they are mentally prepared to not get it back because they are ready for the worst...a pessimist may not have faith in someone to pay them back.

Of course they expect it back. They just think that they won;t ever get it. The difference is between expectation and reality.

Of course they expect you not to repay them, why not have some fun and only pay half of it back,,,,,,they really wont expect that ,and its a happy medium, can teach them there are some things in that gray area in the middle,,,,,,,,,,,,

I think you are overly-optimistic to expect that you are not indebted to a person that let you borrow money.
