Quit making excuses. African teams still play like children. Nice moves, nice handling of the ball, but don't know what to do with it The object of the game, is to score goals. Look at Ghana, 25 or 30 chances, no goals. Brazil, less than 10, 3 goals. .

The person here who addressed another comment where the the question of racism was pointed out is a damn idiot. Whoever said racism was involved in the Ghana vs. Brasil game has alot of reason to say so because clearly the referree and the lines men were against Ghana and making all their calls in favour of Brasil which was totally unfair, particularly their failure to make offside calls when they were neccessary. Also, to that idiot, the claim of racism was not on the part of the Brasil team but on the the referree who was white, dummy, so u need to think before you write s*h*i*t.

Furthermore, although I do agree racism may be a part of the bad calls, I think it is moreso biases and favouritism on the part of the referrees since Brasil is #1 and a favourite in the world cup so they referees are on their side and trying to make it easier for them to win and difficult for another team to challenge them. The three goals that were scored were clearly offside therefore they should not have counted, and the referree gave way too many yellow card, which did not surprise me because I watched the other game that he referreed where he set the record for giving so many yellow card, and I was surprised at the fact that they would allow him to referree again after that game because it was totally ridiculous. He seroiusly needs to be retrained on how to referree a game and not be allowed to referree until he is able to follow the rules and be fair. Although there have been other referees who have sometimes been unfair and made bads calls, this particulr was has been the worst and most consistently unfair byfar.

Now back to the actual question, I believe that only some of the referees have been unfair all around in the world cup and this unfairness has been allpyed to all the teams at some point, however, when looking paritcularly at the African team there their has been a greater deal of unfairness especially when they are playing against a top our favourite team in the tournament. As I said before, their may be some hints of racism there, but I believe a great deal of it has to do referee baises toward the more known teams and the favourites in to tournament. Therfore, with it being the first time for most of the African teams to reach the world cup finals, these biases are against them, thus causing there to be unfairness. So overall the officiating has been unfair, but most notably and consistenlty against the African Teams.

Well, at the end of the day, Ghana played hard and did their best despite all the obstacles against them. If the games were officiated fairly and The African teams still lost, at least both teams had equal opportunity to to try to win and there wouldn't be the question of "what if". Anyways, though many doubted them in the beginning, Ghana and all the other African teams proved that they can play against and challenge the top teams and for sure they'll be back 2010 in FULL FORCE!!!

Sorry if my comment it too long but this had to be said.

YYYEEEEAAAAA GHANAAAAAA!!!

Africans have not been given an unfair deal in the World Cup at all. I have to say Australia has had the worst officiating... deciding their game on a last minute penalty??? That is just not right, it would have to be VERY blatant for most refs to call something like that, and it wasn't. I am defending Australia, and I don't even LIKE Australia.... well, to end this, I think the officiating has been pretty just ( in other words, fair to all teams... bad all around).

this question is hilarious, like the African teams are the only ones to get officiated by idiots. Did you watch any games that didn't involve African teams, obviously not. It's like someone who posted about the Brazil v. Ghana game that there was racism involved in the calls against Ghana...because those Brazilian players are just so white. wow. who knew people could be so narrow-minded. Every soccer player knows that sometimes you get a bad ref and you get a bad call, but there will be times when it goes in your favor. Whining about it isn't going to make it go away.

It has not just been the African teams that have been officiated unfairly. Every team has had their share of bad officiating.

... Also, I bet you posted this question because Ghana lost to Brazil. Well, I'm going to tell you what many people said when Ghana beat the U.S. a couple of days ago when the referees were giving the U.S. bad calls and that unfair penalty, STOP COMPLAINING!!

African teams? Try a lot of the teams. I'll give you a few: Croatia, USA, Australia, and more. Awful officiating.

African teams don't play really good against the good teams. They have been fair to everyone.

Referees do their job, it's the players that ultimately that decide the game, like it or not....

The ref may alter a decision but who does the scoring ...

Refs don't score.

If a bad call is made keep playing ... make the save, score two if they score one .... get it ...

Never give up until the final whistle...!
