I work in an office suite that has one mens bathroom and one womens bathroom and maybe 20 different offices that share the same bathrooms. The guy who owns this building rarely cleans the bathrooms and when he does, it comes nowhere close to being cleaned properly. I think it's a health hazard. Is there anyone I can call about this or any website that I can report this guy to. I don't want to cause trouble, but i'm tired of having to clean the toilet seat every day, it's just not my job.

call 311 and make a complaint, a inspector will investigate it and issue a summons, then iam sure they will clean the bathroom..

There is probably a building code that states how many bathrooms there have to be per occupant. Your building sounds to be below the standard. So you can get a building inspector in to check that out.

The Health Department may respond to your complaint.

If there is a problem, then the building owner may choose to close the place. That would not be cool.

I suggest that all the office occupants petition for better bathrooms. Maybe even withhold rent from the owner. Money talks.

However, if you piss off the owner, he may raise the rent or not renew rentals. You may want to seek legal advice before proceeding.

Perhaps you could talk to the other people who have offices in the building and see if you all can come to an agreement about each office cleaning the bathrooms on a rotating basis or each could chip in to hire someone to clean the bathrooms.

You walk right up to him and tell him you are sick and tired of sitting on a nasty toilet seat and cleaning is part of his job and if he can't do his job properly than he needs to go live back home with his mother until he can learn to do so.

Have as many signatures as possible, like a petition against the dirty toilet. Give a copy to your boss. Have a meeting or bring it up at next safety meeting.

Gross. First, I would try explaining this to your boss....he/she should be able to handle the problem. If he/she does not..go to the guy who owns the building. You shouldn't have a problem getting others in your building to do the same...
If nothing works...either get a new job, or learn how to hold it. :)

I would start with something like a local health department if it is that disgusting, or maybe even OSHA (occupational health and safety)

You can talk to human resources so they can talk to the owners of the building.
