Or do you think that they probably were planning to blow up the tallest building in the USA?

Do you think that it will go to trial or be tossed out in court?

Does anyone have any reason to suspect them, oher than what the gov't said about them?

There's not enough information on this one. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it turned out they were entrapped. Either way,
this is going to trial and they'll be made an example of.

I'm sort of confused on this one. They weren't really doing much except acting a bit odd around a very tough neighborhood. So having feds pretend to be what they weren't might have motivated them a bit. They may have never gotten further than that neighborhood. However what if a real Islamic extremist did approach them? They may have been "bumbling fools" but even a fool can fire a gun. Could they have pulled it off hmmm better never having to know.

It will go to court and I do believe they will get several years in jail. If anything to set an example that homegrown "terrorist" will get punished.

It'll get tossed. You can not arrest people for thoughts of blowing something up. These guys had no means to do it. Granted, they appear to be complete thugs from the mugshots (of course, most people do) and we're all probably better off to have them off the street. However, that is just not how it works in this country.

my answer to this dual edge sword question comes without hesitation. yes to: i believe an attempt was made to plan a bombing.

with limited knowledge we all currently have on this so called attempt, i believe! now the degree of expertise required to pull it off is another question. i am pleased to see the expert attempt not only in the u.s. and canada but worldwide to act and not have to react. we still have a long way to go but the wheels are now turning. never wake up a sleeping giant!

so for now, the tools used to avoid reacting are more then acceptable to me. it will most likely go to trial.
