Of course, anyone can pinch hit. But if you use the pitcher and don't leave him in, he's gone, just like any other player.

Any Player that is on the active roster can pinch hit at any time.....
A few years ago I forget the Teams playing but there were 3 pitchers used has pinch hitters late in the game (extra Innings).
and 2 of them ended up playing in the field for the first time since College......

Yes. Tom Seaver once pinch-hit for Eddie Kranepool when the latter was thrown out of the game in the middle of an at-bat for arguing balls and strikes. I have heard of other cases. Naturally, you don't want to use a pitcher who you wish to keep eligible to pitch, unless you happen to be bringing that pitcher into the game anyway, but even then you want to have him warming up in the bullpen instead.

Sure. I remember the White Sox had a pitcher named Gary Peters who could hit well and he had some power.

In last year's NLCS, the Astros pinch-hit Roger Clemens in the 15th or 16th inning in that 6-hour, 18-inning marathon.

Yes. Usually happens in long games when you are short of hitters. Occasionally you will even find one in the outfield

Of corse. You could give the bat boy a uniform and push him out on the plate.
