My friends and I have an argument. Do you think that a child would learn to walk if he/she never saw an adult doing it? For instance would a child creep for the rest of their life it they say all adults creeping?

It's in our nature, I know a child will learn out of innate curiosity and the instinct to survive,

That's a very good question. But I would like to think that a child would still learn to walk even if the child never sees anyone walking.

I can see both points of the argement, but in truth, I tend to agree that if a child never saw anyone walking, they would not be inclined to try it. They would creep or crawl, or take up whatever mode of getting around that the adults used.

Children are, in that regard, like monkeys. Monkey see, monkey do.

If you believe in evolution then one would believe that eventually a child will learn to walk on its own...As humans we have evolved over time to stand on 2 feet and the same thing would eventually happen in your scenario too probably.
