I know in the state of North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio, the new wife's income does not reflect on the childsupport. Child support is only conducted on the mans income, and what bills he pays, and if he has any other biological child he is responsible for. I have been thru child support in all these states. And if the mother and the child reside in a different state than the father, they go by the state laws where the child resides.

Depending on what state your in most only go by what the parent makes, they cannot include your income in his child support. If he owes back child support you can file noninjured spouse on your return and have your part of the income tax refund gievn to you. They can only go after what he owns and what he makes.

I do not think your income can count for an increase in child support but i do know that your taxes and any property you buy together can be used as child support

It depends on the state. But any joint assets you have together, do get calculated for child support. I thought it can't be, but after speaking to an attorney, it turns out, yes, your income, if in a joint account w/ your spouse, will be looked at as an asset. Also, house you buy in both your names, etc, etc. Divorce sucks!!!

I think it will depend on the laws where you live. I live in California and her income was not include in that it raised it. it just showed that he was not supporting them by himself.
