So, tell me.
I've been around for a while and every day I see how people praise the US-Italy game because the US stepped it up and that they were proud.
Proud of what? They didn't even make a goal!
It has been called the best match but why? It wasn't amazing, it was butchery. It was a disgrace for the italian team. The US didn't step it up, the italian lowered their already low performance.

That game was by far one of the worst I've seen this World Cup. Both teams played horrible soccer, and they both played dirty. Many Americans are also complaining that the ref was favoring Italy in giving USA 2 red cards. For heaven's sake Pablo Mastroeni almost broke his ankle. Quit with all the B.S. and play soccer. Italy has gotten WAY to lucky in this World Cup, thanks to referrees and Bruce Arena screwed up the World Cup for team USA.

I agree with you on some parts. Yes the game was a joke, and the US shouldn't really be proud because they didn't technically score a goal. But they should be proud just generally for the way that they played, i mean that was tough for them to get 2 red cards.. and for them not to let Italy score again was pretty amazing. (Even though Italy also got a red card) But it wasn't exactly a disgrace to the Italian team either..i mean come on they did make it through to the next round and the US didn't, and Italy was down a man and the US were down two men, and they were just tired. Oh and the Italians don't have a low performance cause they did win against Ghana and the Czech republic and Australia.. and the only goal that has been scored on them was one that was accidentally shot by one of their own team mates. Bet you can't that for the states...

first of all,and that's coming from a Celtic fan,I disagree that the Championship is a poorer league than the SPL-universal,that's an more suitable common-and any team in it would end a minimum of third interior the SPL.even nonetheless,i'm going to qualify that by ability of asserting that Celtic or Rangers might the two win it in the event that they performed in it-it won't happen so I won't waste to any extent further time on that old chestnut. Butcher became incorrect to assert what he did in public-yet Terry has consistently been afflicted, like his mate Graham Roberts, with that damaging incapacity of being unable to work together his concepts formerly he opens his mouth.can not see him lasting long interior the Scotland set up as i think of he has little or no to furnish us-i might particularly have somebody who cared-like a John Brown or a Tosh McKinlay in his training place.

Hey. My name us Branko, and I'm from Europe, from Croatia. Thats NEXT to Italy. I think you missunderstood the meaning of a good game in soccer. It's a good game when lots of kicks, lots and lots of supporters are singing like one, when lots of good opportunities are made. And by the way, I saw the game the other day, and it wasn't something special. I think the only special game on the 2006 World cup was between Brasil and CROATIA. Aldough Brasil won the game, the match was excellent (everybody, including me say so).
P.S. I don't find US team something special because they don't have something that is called experience and tradition. No offence, but you are more a Football and Baseball nation.

See Ya ;-P

Well, it was a dramatic match. And the U.S. was able to tie a good team like Italy even with playing nine men in the second half. But it was an ugly game at many times.

You must not have seen the US-Czech match. The US definitely played better against Italy. I can agree a match where you don't score is nothing to be proud of, but that doesn't mean we didn't show dramatic improvement.
