The only American Presidents who have ever 'surrendered' have been Republican.
As to fighting a war, there are a hell of a lot more Democrats on the front lines than Republicans. I should know, having been through two tours in Nam and the Granada invasion, having been a WO3, having worked for the VA for many years afterwards.

Obviously, morons like you didn't learn in history class. What are we accomplishing in Iraq, nothing(besided stealing their oil). Americans think they are the rulers of the world and can govern as they please. Iraq posed no problems for the US and we had no right to invade their country.
