Can a person become ill from trimming evergreen bushes? My husband came down with stomach cramps and a bad head ache after trimming some evergreens at work. This also happened last year. Is there something in the evergreens that caused it? If so, what can be done to prevent it???

You did not state what type of evergreen but some are poisonous. He should at least wear a mask over his nose and mouth.

Well this is what I think is happening,
It may be the sun hitting on his head and not eating good in the morning, sometimes the leaves of the evergreens gets some kind of plague and can make you sick.
Are the evergreens getting fertilizers?

He can be allergic to evergreen. This is possible if he only gets ill around evergreen brushes. Check with his doctor about this matter.

Serious ----illness called Sarcoidosis....please look it up and get in touch with an infectious disease DR. it's not contageous but can become very serious if left untreated.
