Definately go to OLGA.net, the on-line guitar archive. They have hundreds of lessons for free, and they are all easy to understand! That is what helped me while I was learning.

If you have Comcast Digital Cable, go to "On Demand" (ch01), click thru the first page menus to the second page menus, select "Music"....the bottom choice is "Guitar Lessons"

guitar.com has some archived "guitar lessons" by pros, but you're not going to be able to learn from scratch.. it's generally for those who already have a working knowledge of guitar
