My son is very good at performing surgery on cats, dogs, hampsters, and guinnea pigs. He enjoys doing it, and the animals dont seem to mind. In fact, spike is really liking the new leg he transplanted from the neighbors cat. I want him to have a hobbie and stay out of trouble. Are there any clubs he can join to help him practice, and is this a good hobbie for a 9 yr old boy?

The whole idea of veterinarian school is that animals are entirely different from people and need to be treated by someone who knows all about that as well as chemistry and bacteriology.

If someone is not a veterinarian, doctor, scientist, etc. and operates on animals, then it is animal cruelty.
