Actually, there have been 6 books (Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince) and 4 movies (Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire).
No idea when the next book is coming out. JK Rowling doesn't like to be rushed, so it heightens the anticipation. As for the movies, Order of the Phoenix is in production for 2007 release, and Half Blood Prince is in production slated for 2008 release.

not sure, not sure.......
but its been about every three years lately but apparently parts of this one have been wrritten for along time so......
maybe in the next two years...... or so lets hope and it will be the summertime for sure (always is)
