I was put on hold for a half hour and then told they would be at my house tomorrow between 8am and 5pm.I told them I work until 3pm and would not be home until three thirty.They cannot enter thisrequest into their computer.I have tried unplugging the modem for one minute and also made sure all connections were in secure.Is there any thing else I can try? My internet modem is hooked up to the same cable as my tv.My cable light on modem is not coming on.

They checked and said there is no problem in the area.

You can move your modem to the cable head and see if it works there. Best thing you can do is ask a nearby neighbor if their service works and have them call in as well if theirs is down. My cable company has scheduled at least 10 appointments with me, that were canceled after they found their network problem. Remember when dealing with these people, their aim is to take your money, not provide you with service. Be a squeaky wheel and get their attention, always call back and ask for service credit after an outage.

simple answer no, if they need to come out then they need to fix something on the modem, or in your area.
most companies cannot put down a time after app, they need to say the whole day.
