I bought a Bach two years ago and I really like it. I have a 36 which isn't a bass bone, but it does have the F attachment. They have lots of options w/ different triggers and in general are good horns. They are a little pricey but very reliable and come w/ a warranty. I'd recommend one to anyone looking for a horn to have for a while.

Trombones from Conn-Selmer are pretty awesome. I use the Bach brand, and it's brilliant, I agree. The other brands, like King and Conn, are common too. I've tried these three and they're all great. However, these brands are kind of expensive, though, but like laurz42 said, they are reliable and with warranty. If you want cheaper but still a good model, try a second hand trombone. They're 'seasoned' and rugged. But check the condition of it first before you buy!

Good luck!

Cheers.
