I went thru that for years, found a few things that finally stopped the problem, only get cramps very rare now. Your muscles are tight when you relax they are not, A good daily supplement I have found Alive to be the best I take 1 am and 1 pm gives all vitamins and minerals. Also hr before bed I make time to do 2 things, soak or shower very warm water, rub legs with a peppermint lotion, and do light leg bends to get circulation moving, also i put a body pillow between calves to keep elevated.Hope this helps you too.

Eat a banana a day for the potassium. Also every night before bed, so some calf stretches. The more stretched out they get, the less chance you will have of getting cramps. They sure hurt! Good luck!

You are lacking calcium and iron. The best calcium supplement is Citrical. Take it in the morning. You have to avoid carbonated drinks while using this supplement as it will inhibit your bodies ability to absorb it. Orange juice will help your body absorb the calcium. As for iron its best to have a finger stick blood test done to see just how much you are lacking. Too much iron can be bad for a women. You should also take a multivitamin. No mineral will work without the right vitamin to activate it.

First, drink alot of water and rest. The reason you get leg cramps is that you drink to many sodas or exercise in a way your body isn't used to. Anyways, just drink water (because soda kicks out the water in your muscles (why do you think you get so many pee pee after drinking soda?) so your muscle is dry and you need to replace it with water!) and do some stretches and rest. Good luck!

you need more potassium, eat more bananas. when you get the leg cramps stretch them straight out and point your foot and toes toward your face. this will help to make the cramp go away, found that out when i got them all the time while i was preggo.

Just do what I do. Grab your leg, scream, and flop around like a fish out of water. Always ends up just fine in the long run.

This used to happen to me, but I started taking calcium pills and they went away. I also heard eating a banana can prevent cramping.

Have you tried potassium? During the summer people tend to dehydrate leaving you with less potassium.

You can buy it over the counter or it can be found in foods like bananas or potatoes.
