Go to Arlington National Cemetery. There will be band concerts and ceremonies celebrating those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that YOU could have a free country.

The National mall is where many go to watch the fireworks and there are bands, food, etc. Good time. That is your best bet. Bring some wine in another container to enjoy it more!

well there is a really good fireworks diaplay they have on the monument, its really awsome, they usually have parades and i know of one time they had a festivle there but not sure if they still do or not.
