I used it, but it did not work consistently. I went to a dermatologist who gave me Differin which is AWESOME and really really really works!!! My face is 100% clear now- yay!! But she also said that benzol peroxide and salisic acid are sometimes too strong for your face and sometimes make it break out even more. If you still want to use Proactive, the derma. said to use it every other month. Hope this helps!!
PS!! I also learned that my breakouts were an infection...not just zits. If yours are infections too, they're so easy to treat!!!

It depends on the extent of your acne problem. I'm someone who had an occassional breakout, got proactive, and everything is cool. I even stopped using is, and only apply the stuff when I feel a breakout starting to occur.

If you have serious acne, try getting a dermotologist to prescribe Accutane. That will cure your ills.

Careful of Proactives "automatic" repurchase policy. When you sign up, then send you the products ... but they keep sending them EVERY month. I, personally, didnt need that much. When I canceled my orders, then put me on a 6 month repurchase ... so when I recieved an order 6 months later with a bill, I was wondering why because I canceled my orders.

It all depends on how serious the break out is. You can first go to see your doctor and if he/she doesn't seem to think it is that serious you should try proactive. It's really harsh. And it hurts and makes you break out a little more in the beginning, but if you use it consistantly it works.

I've heard proactiv works miracles on acne; however, you need to use it continously for a long time because the minute you stop using it, you break out again.

My own personal friends have told me that proactive is really good. And these are friends of mine that have tried many different things. Always listen to your own advice and your doctor or dermatologist's as well. Proactive is one of the few things on those annoying infomercials that does what it says-it helps people with their confidence as well as their complexions. Good Luck!

NO it does not work. It might have an effect on the select few that were tested on this product and were on a strict diet. But for us everyday people who do not diet according to our faces it does not work
