There are two music directors Anu Malik and Himesh Reshammiya. The reason behind is these two deliver hit songs even with non famous movie directors or debutants but in other cases like A R Rehman, Jatin Lalit or Rajesh Roshan they are the best only with best movie directors like Yash Chopra, Mani Ratnam etc. But these two gives some hit songs with no contribution of any other persons even a fres director can sign these two and have some great tunes.

I don't understand all this Himesh Reshamiya stuff. He has only now become popular (which still amazes me). Yes, he is talented. Yes, he does deliver hit songs.
But its the same hit song, repackaged and delivered over and over again. Who can blame him I supposed. It is the public that buys this nonsense. I can't belive we are awarding lack of originality like this.
As per the question...
It depends on the genre, for me...
but overall, I'd have to say A R Rahman. He isn't just about club remixes and whats hot now (such as Himesh) but he delivers soulful numbers with meaning (mixed with some masala sometimes, yes)

A.R. Rehman is the best.
But I also like Anu Malik and Himesh Reshammiya

A. R. Rehman has the most consistently excellent work. The others have some hits, some misses.

without doubt A.R.Rehman because his style is totally different i mean he gives a unique feeling to the song with his music, but i also like Himesh Reshammiya's songs nowadays he is everywhere
