consider wave lenghts of all sort between planets/stars/exotic objects as the equivalent of electrical communication between brain cells.

Ok guys good good, but try this;
Aggregates in quarries do not have the complexite and wave emmitions of stelar objects.
Intelligence is the sense of awareness, do the galaxies have awarness?
Galaxie's achieveness - you and me.
I love science fiction, and Arthur C. Clarke first thought of communication sattelites.
Have a good night

i will answer this question for you !

your question is very metaphysical and the other answers address it pessimistically.

whether galaxies have intelligence is not known BUT I believe it can be possible.

Metaphysically, single cell in your body has intelligece in the sense that it performs it function perfectly. A cell may not be aware of the body it lives in ( which is also intelligent ) but can you blame the cell ?

Similiarly, the galaxy we live may be intelligent but we dont have the awareness ( until now ! ) to realize that. After all, we were created in our galaxy by some other grander scheme ( i am not implying God in anyway ).

My idea is far fetched but so was television and human flight.

The next step in human understanding will be the realization that we are only a small part in a grander cosmic scheme. Our role in adapting and blending with this scheme will dictate whether we will survive or be another transient flicker of intelligence that pervades every cell and atom of this universe.

If you are interested, you may read Isaac Asimov's "Foundation Trilogy" which explores your concept.

Hindu philosophy also support a optimistic model of your question.

At the end, it is up to our intelligence to "assign" intelligence labels to things not like ourselves. I guess it is a matter of faith.

Quarries also have aggregate. Last time I checked, they're as dumb as a hole in the ground!

i don't think you quite grasp the concept of intelligence. There is no dynamic process between space objects they just passively receive (undergo) light and gravity effects.

The human brain works more on chemical processes than electrical processes, if I'm not mistaken.

Galaxies are clusters of stars.

That's a nice conceptual idea, but it has no scientific basis.
