I have a blog on blogspot.com. Whenever I do a Yahoo Search or Google search nothing comes up. I started out with high hopes but nobody can find my blog to even post a comment

do not submit your blog to normal search engines. submit it to blog search engines.

You do not have to register with the search companies. You just have to have links to the page you are looking to find.
So if nobody has a link to your blog, the search engines will not find it and will not index it.
Try to put some links on the web that point to your blog. Talk to your friends to link to your blog etc.

Google and Yahoo have search spiders. Eventually, they will get around to indexing your site. Some blog hosting sites have options for notifying blog listing sites that you have updated, which will generate traffic to the site.

I know Google will allow you to ask them to look at it, but # of hits is the thing that would be best!
That's how they get ranked.
Google sends out a thing to search from other sirtes, so by putting a link to other sites may help and get someone to put a link to your for your best chance.

you have to be registered with the search engines, and the big ones make you pay, if it is a yahoo or google blog, they will eventually, it just takes a long time to get them added
