in 2002 i was charged with a felony. i pleaded not guilty and was aquited of all charges against me. however i recently moving into an apartment and the background check shows a felony on my record in 2002. how do i have this corrected?

You need a lawyer; and they will file the necessary petitions with the court to correct your criminal history record. Your arrest will show up in your criminal history background but it should not show a conviction unless you plead guilty to some other offense at the time? If it shows a felony conviction you need a lawyer ASAP and get it fixed.

your record probably shows that you were arrested and why, but at the very bottom it should say "dismissed" "convicted" or "aquitted".....maybe the aparment manager mis-read the actual outcome.
