I don't know what ponds detox is but anytime you use products on your skin that are supposed to clarify (which from the name I'm guessing that's what this is) or things like masks, if they work, they will pull all the impurities to the surface of the skin causing blemishes. Also, if you're over cleansing your skin, you are stripping all of the natural oil out of it and as a reaction to that you skin will produce more oil to replace what you are taking away causing your skin to be more oily than before. Try a gentle cleanser and only clean once or twice a day. A good quality one such as Arbonne or Clinique will do you more good than something purchased at Walmart generally, and with Clinique you can exchange it if you don't like it most of the time.

Tomato juice really helps to over come the problem(oily face), Take a fresh tomato and squeeze it (extract some juice)apply it to your face, let it dry and then wash off. It makes the skin smooth, fresh and clear the marks left by pimples, moreover you will not have any side effects. Likewise cucumber is also good for the skin, it makes skin smooth and works as a good skinlightner. Use herbal or natural productsthe results will be amazing

How much water do you drink each day? You have to drink a litre or two of water to help to flush out the toxins in your skin!
I am not familiar with Ponds detox products.. but I do know if you want to detox - no amount of product in the world will work unless you're flushing it out of your body.
If you don't like plain water - add a lemon or lime to the water! Try Seltzer water like Perrier or S.Pellegrini - with a spritz of lime - it's fab!

I have oily skin.
I've used so many products for oily skin that have made it even oilier I couldn't name them all.
I found a lotion, Alveeno moisturizer in a light green pump bottle, it is for acne but it is really working on the oiliness too. It is light and clears up my skin.
Good luck.

I also have oily skin, it sounds like your stripping it too much. Keep using it, but put an oil free moisturizer on too. Just very lite!!! It sucks having oily skin, but we don't wrinkle as fast... I still get carded and I'm 34! Good luck!

Your skin makes more oil when it is dry really. Try to be sure to use a good lotion twice a day after washing your face. Best wishes
