Do I have to update it when it expires & they get it renewed? Just wanted to know if it's required by the law.

Not by law, but you will want to for liability reasons. For instance, if you had an employee driving your company car and they crash into someone hurting them and they found out that you never checked for their driver's license they can sue you for being negligent (sp)...and that comes with a hefty price you are found guilty.

I don't know if it is required by law, but you'd want to do that for your own protection.
When I worked for a utility, and they do everything by law, they didn't copy our licenses and we were on the road everyday.
