I would think it would depend on when you took the ovulation test. If you took the ovulation test around the time you generally ovulate then I would say no that the positive only means that you are really ovulating at that time. However, if you took the ovulation test a day before your period was supposed to start, when you know it wouldn't be possible for you to be ovulating, and it was positive I would say maybe yes you could be pregnant. I say this because in the book I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, when you ovulate your temperature stays elevated until your period. If you go 18 consecutive days after ovulation with a high temperature it says you are most likely pregnant...So if your ovulation test is telling you you are ovulating at a time when you shouldn't be....I think it very well could mean you are pregnant. Take a preg test and find out for sure.

YES, If you are pregnant and just for fun you use an ovulation test, the ovulation test will be positive, I actually did it. Now in order to confirm the ovulation test would have to come out positive for at least 5 days, NOW in order to be a positive test both lines have to be as dark, no faint lines. Go to this website and read all about it, this lady actually did an experiment with OPK's and HPT's. www.peeonastick.com

Just take a pregnancy test. The point of testing to see if you are ovulating is usually to get pregnant! If you are trying, and a pregnancy test is positive, congratulations! You accomplished what you set out to!

Women have reported using ovulation tests to detect a pregnancy. There is some commonality in the hormones.
