I have a friend who every time I tell her to keep something to herself she doesn't and she knows I hate that. Even when I warn her not to do it again she turns around and does it and all I do is just keep forgiving her when she saids she's sorry. Everyone keeps telling me that this friendship is a mistake and I should just leave her alone. I don't know why I can't see like they do. Someone please help me see the light.

It sounds like you really like this person for a friend. That's fine. Just know you have a very good friend that you can't share your secrets with.

I know it sucks that you should be able to have such a cool friend but she has this major character flaw. That's life. She's what we describe as: "not being able to hold water in a pot."

Accept her short-comings and keep it to yourself, or move on and form a new friendship. You have the power to make this decision.

Peace Out.

If your friend continues to blab after you have asked her repeatedly to stop, "I am sorry" is not going to do it. You need to drop her from your list of friends. You have given her more than enough chances and obviously she can not be trusted and she does not take you seriously if she continues to betray you all the time. Cut her loose. Perhaps this is the only way that she will learn as a result of losing friends because she can't stop blabbing.

I told a friend of mine of 35 years not to talk to someone that did something terrible to me and she did,it has been 3 years since I spoke to her,but told her what I thought before I dissolved the friendship. Get rid of this friend,I know sometimes it's hard as they are fun or popular,be strong you Will be respected for it,but most of you will respect yourself.Good luck.

Only tell her things that you don't care gets around, she probably repeats things that you say because she looks up to you, her life is most likely boring whithout you. Tell her the truth, tell her you can't confide in her anymore because you can't trust her to keep it to herself.
